Our Artistic engagement
Las Corpa is a contemporary circus company devoted to performance as a living, expressive art form. Blending acrobatics, dance, music, and theatrical storytelling, we create performances that awaken curiosity and wonder while provoking the audience.
Our work inhabits spaces with strange creatures, bodies in transformation, and unexpected movements.
We are deeply drawn to site-specific creation, exploring how each environment can shape the dramaturgy of a performance and open new possibilities for interaction with the public.
Driven by a passion for experimentation, our artistic research celebrates the fragile, the vulnerable, and the awkward aspects of the human condition. Within these imperfections, we discover a rich territory of beauty, humor,
and emotional truth.

Biography
LAS CORPA was born in 2019, when the Italian aerial acrobat and musicien Lorena Di Bello met the Chilean acro-dancer, flyer and visual artist Martina Calvo at the École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque in Brussels. Both born in 1998, they quickly formed a friendship around a shared artistic vision, creating captivating performances and organizing circus cabarets, parties, and artistic events, including the festival
Let it Flow Meeting in Sicily and Pote Compote Fest in Brussels.
In 2023, they welcomed Morgane Maret, a Swiss artist from the School of Performing Arts in Basel who later specialized in aerial rope at ESAC, bringing new perspectives to the collective. That same year, Ignacia Parraguez, a Chilean scenographer specialized in stage costume design, also joined the project after moving to Europe.
In 2025 many other artists collaborated with the company for differents performatives projects.
LAS CORPA presents itself today as a Brussels-based collective of mainly women artists, creating performances, shows, and events.
The dramaturgy and choreography are developed by Martina Calvo and Lorena Di Bello, while the aesthetic dimension is shaped through the scenography and paintings of Ignacia Parraguez.

ignacia parraguez
a versatile designer defining our Universe

Ignacia Parraguez Agüero, born in 1997 in Santiago and now based in Barcelona, is a multidisciplinary visual artist: clothing and costume designer, tattoo artist, and recycler. Inspired by the art supplies of her childhood, she explores a wide range of techniques, earning a degree in Visual Arts and pursuing advanced studies in costume design.
In 2017, she launched her clothing brand Malikna97.
Her work combines recycled materials with couture techniques, symbolizing transformation, and reflects a baroque and surreal aesthetic influenced by circus culture and urban art.
She is the scenographer and costume designer of the company
Las Corpa. Through her imaginative approach to materials and creation, she is able to bring to life any creature or apparatus emerging from the depths of imagination and dreamlike worlds.
Cabarets

One of our artistic trademarks is the organization and presentation of circus cabarets.
Las Corpa, as a duo, has developed a range of characters and personalities through which we create buffoon and clown scenes that connect and animate the transitions between the different acts of the variety show.
Our main character is Sergio, a bizarre alter ego of the artists on stage.
Through awkward gestures and strange appearances, Sergio moves between ethical questions and subtle political reflections, creating moments of humor, discomfort, and tenderness.
Behind his clumsy and somewhat grotesque look, he hides a soft and sensitive heart, with which the audience quickly empathizes.
Through this character and our theatrical language, we weave together the different acts of the cabaret, transforming the show into a living dramaturgy where circus, clowning, and social commentary meet.
